There are so many ways that our health and well-being are affected by our day to day choices. And by many things in our lives that we may not have much choice about.
Health starts before things are hurting or not right. It starts before the trip to the doctor, before the prescription for medication. It starts with the ways our daily life impacts us – physically, emotionally, mentally.
It can be helpful to take the time to name and witness where you are already doing great in taking care of your health and well-being and to identify where you may be falling down or not living up to your full potential. in those places where you identify that change might be helpful, additional support can help to make those new choices easier. And then, no matter what you might desire, there are always inevitabilities in life where you can’t make something better – you can’t bring somebody back, you love your job, but your co-workers can be really challenging to work with, or when disease takes a toll in your life or the life of somebody close to you.
Taking the time to explore these questions is a first step in honoring where you are. It isn’t necessarily an easy process, but, hopefully, you find it insightful and helpful. It takes vulnerability to engage in this kind of sharing with someone you may not know very well. I honor whatever kind of courage it took to arrive here.
I look forward to reading your thoughts and reflections. Thank you for reaching out.
